Data Exploration
Traditional research & discovery programs typically follow a two phase approach: large scale data exploration followed by statistical analysis. Currently, large scale data exploration is a relatively inflexible and inefficient process involving multiple groups and spanning multiple weeks or months. Clinical and molecular data sets are not properly aggregated, researchers do not get to query the data repositories themselves, and proper access control to the data sets is a concern. We introduce a novel approach to addresses these issues so that approved researchers can, in minutes, query multiple datasets, evaluate results, modify the query and repeat as necessary until a data set is ready to be sent for statistical analysis.
